Hearts and Headlocks: "Who We Are"
Hearts and Headlocks is a non-profit organization that’s main purpose is to
make sick kids feel remembered and loved. We take toys to the hospital and
also give these children a chance to meet independent pro wrestlers. During
the holidays families with sick children can feel alone and scared. We reach
out to these families with a small gift and a lot of love, to try to bring some light
back into there lives. Starting in August, we will be touring around the state of
Texas telling wrestling promotions about our program, getting volunteers to
visit with the children and collecting toys across the state of Texas. We DO
NOT accept monetary donations at this time, only new, unopened, unwrapped
toys. This year’s program will run from August 1st to December 15th of 2009.
We want to get an early start this year in hopes of making the biggest possible
haul we can to help the children. A little gift can and does mean so much to a
family in need and put a smile on their faces, especially during the holiday
season.

How Hearts and Headlocks Can Help You:
As a promoter:
Hearts and Headlocks is great FREE advertisement. If we are able to promote our cause at your show, we will
promote you on our website, our Myspace page, and in the local media. All we ask is for a moment at each of your
shows over the next few months for one of our representatives to talk about our cause, and for a drop box to be
available for toy donations at each show. If you would like to send a representative of your company with us when
toys are handed out (for example your company’s current camp, or a crowd favorite) this is highly encouraged, but
not by any means required.
As a wrestler:
Hearts and Headlocks can be one of the most rewarding personal experiences you can ever have, as well as a
great way to promote yourself. It will give you the chance to meet one of your biggest fans (ones you never even
knew existed) and make new fans. Happy kids mean happy parents, who will remember you as a hero to their
child. This increases your fan base, reputation and shows the community that you care about giving back to the
fans that got you where you are and breaks the negative stereotype that sometimes surrounds pro wrestlers. All in
all, volunteering with us is a great way to bolster your personal resume, and your professional persona.

We are currently looking to visit hospitals in the cities of San Antonio, New Braunfels, Temple, Houston, Corpus
Christi and Austin TX. We need volunteers who would like to help by collecting toys and/or to come along to meet
children and pass out toys to change what could be the a miserable Christmas for a sick child and his family to a
cherished memory.
